Begoro (E/R), Sept. 16, GNA - The National Organizer of the National Democratic Ccongress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has called on the party activists not to sit down unconcerned but actively educate the electorate on the need to vote for the party in the December elections. Mr Ofosu-Ampofo, who is the Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa in the Rastern Region, made the call when he swore into office a reconstituted Begoro Zonal NDC executives at Begoro on Wednesday. They included Mr Emmanuel Osafo, chairman, Alexander Kwakye, vice- chairman, Peter Antwi, secretary, Yaw Agyei, organizer and S. O. Amaniampong, as propaganda secretary.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo said the NPP had brought untold hardships on Ghanaians within its short period of rule saying, "if they are not voted out, Ghanaians would die prematurely". He said it was only the NDC, which could salvage the economy through its pragmatic manifestoes and urged the electorate to vote the NDC into power in December. He asked the party supporters to be tolerant in their confrontation with political opponents and pray for peace, tranquility and progress to prevail before, during and after the elections. The zonal chairman, Mr Osafo promised that the executives would work hard to retain the Fanteakwa parliamentary seat in December.
