The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is scheduled to convene with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), labor unions, and religious leaders today at the KAMA Conference Centre to push for a forensic audit of Ghana’s voters register.
This meeting comes in the wake of the recent #EnoughIsEnoughDemo, which brought significant attention to concerns about electoral integrity.
Dr. Omane Boamah, the NDC’s Director of Elections, revealed in a Facebook post made on September 23, 2024, that “At 4 pm today, on Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s holiday, we (NDC) shall meet CSOs, Labour Unions, Religious Leaders, Media Managers and Journalists, and other invited guests at the KAMA Conference Centre to present our case on the need for the forensic audit of the voters register and its IT system.”
Attendees will include representatives from prominent organizations like the Centre for Democratic Development, the Trade Union Congress, and various religious bodies. This coalition aims to bolster their push for reforms and stress the need for public trust in Ghana’s electoral process.
