The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned the public to disregard circulating rumours of an impending cabinet reshuffle, describing them as deliberate misinformation intended to poison the political atmosphere.

In a strongly worded press statement issued by its National Communication Bureau on Saturday, June 6, 2026, the party urged Ghanaians to verify information before sharing it.

“As we all strive to curb the menace of deliberate misinformation, some individuals will stop at nothing to poison the atmosphere,” the statement read.

The NDC emphasised the need for responsible communication and reminded the public of the official spokesperson for the administration.

“The official spokesperson for this administration is Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu. Kindly verify any such information through his official channels before sharing it,” the party stressed.

The statement further warned of the serious implications of the Cyber Security Act, calling on all citizens to be mindful and responsible in their communication.

“The Cyber Security Act can have serious implications, so let us all be mindful and responsible in our communication,” it added.

The NDC’s reaction comes amid growing speculation in political circles about a possible government reshuffle. The party appears determined to stem the tide of unverified information making the rounds on social media and other platforms.

The statement was signed by Godwin Ako Gunn, Deputy National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress.
