The Acting National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Freddie Blay has accused the Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration of deliberately manipulating the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI’s) report.

He further accused President Mahama of a calculated plot to expose the life of the NPP Flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

Addressing Journalists in Accra, he blamed President Mahama for disregarding the security protection needs of Nana Addo.

Mr. Blay made this wild allegation in response to the arrest of the three south African military operatives who were contracted to train private security detail of the NPP ahead of the 2016 national elections.

The three were 54-year-old Major Ahmed Shaik Hazis (Rtd.), 39-year–old WO/Denver Dwayhe Naidu (Rtd) and 45-year-old Captain Mlungiseleli Jokani (Rtd.).

The trio, all ex-police officers were engaged in training fifteen young men in various military drills, including unarmed combat, weapon handling, VIP protection techniques and rapid response maneuvers.’

‘The posture of the state security has left us with no choice than to believe that the life of our Flagbearer and his Vice are deliberately being exposed to high risk. The president is allowing his competitors lives to be endangered. The NPP has been receiving intelligence reports over a period of time, that some people allegedly sympathetic to the government were planning to harm our Presidential candidate Nana and blame it forcefully on an internal NPP attack,’ he alleged.
