President John Dramani Mahama’s ‘Accounting To The People' tour has been described by the Director of Elections of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah as a panic campaign to remain in power after failing the country.
According to him, it is obvious to President Mahama and the NDC as a party that Ghanaians are aware of the desperate attempt to use ‘Accounting To The People' tour as a means to convince them to vote them again into power, hence the persistent visitation to all the regions to plead with Ghanaians.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Mr. Agyei Mensah Korsah asserted that President Mahama’s administration is using state resources to run campaign adverts on the various media platforms about the performance of the president which little is seen by Ghanaians.
“It is obvious the NDC is panicking which is why President Mahama is constantly touring the whole country to assure and remind the people of his achievements and the need to vote for him again,” he noted.
He maintained that it is not the business of President John Dramani Mahama to remind Ghanaians of his achievements if there is any, as they are visible for the people to see and decide; thus, it is only the panic of losing the 2016 election which will make the President tour the entire country to remind Ghanaians of his achievements.
He, therefore, was emphatic that Ghanaians will vote massively for the NPP Flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to demonstrate their anger with President Mahama for his poor management of the country’s economy.
He stressed that the margin of vote, according to his checks will be so wide that the NDC cannot comprehend the defeat.
