Kumasi, Jan 22, GNA - An official of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to members and sympathizers of the party to resist any attempts by some members of the party who recently resigned to lure them with money or material gifts to join any rival political parties.

Mr Alex Sawyer Attivor, the Vice Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Branch of the NDC, said loyalty of members to the party should take precedence over monetary considerations.

He told the GNA in an interview that resignation from the NDC to either join rival parties or form a new political party could never in any way negatively affect the functioning and performance of the NDC. Mr Ayivor said the party recognised that ''party politics is game of numbers'' and is therefore exploring all avenues to bring back the aggrieved members of the party who have resigned. Mr Attivor dismissed allegations by aggrieved members of the party that the NDC was undemocratic and said the party was one of the transparent and democratic political bodies in the country.
