Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will stay in government for a longer period following their historic win in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to him, if the soon-to-be opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), does not take care, they will be starved of power for more than eight years as the NDC is likely to break the eight-year electoral cycle.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, December 7, 2024, he stated, "If the NDC does things right, they will rule for a long period of time. That is what I have seen, and I will go into detail on the 31st. If the NPP doesn't take care, the NDC will be the party to break the 8."

The Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, on Monday, December 9, declared John Mahama, the NDC candidate, the winner in the 2024 presidential elections, with a total of 6,328,397 votes.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP received 4,657,304 votes.

Mahama's party, the NDC, achieved historic success by gaining a majority in Parliament.
