Mr Francis Duodu Addo, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Agona East, has appealed to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to bury their differences and unite to ensure a landslide victory in the November election.
Mr Addo said it was time for the NDC to be united to win the votes of Ghanaians.
The DCE made this known when he addressed the ward and branch executives of the Agona East Constituency branch of the NDC at a get-together at Agona Oketsew.
The get-together was organised by Alhaji Jabiru Ibrahim, the Agona East Constituency Chairman of the NDC, to thank the ward and branch executivesfor their continuing support.
The DCE said the NDC must win overwhelmingly in the upcoming elections to write a history of the party in Ghana’s democratic governance.
He said President John Dramani Mahama was working hard in all sectors including education, health, roads, job creation and others to improve the living standards of the people.
He expressed worry about the misunderstanding, divide tactics and hatred which had crept into the members of the party in Agona East.
Mr Addo asked the party supporters to get involved in the activities of the NDC which would make it attractive to Ghanaians.
He called on the members of the NDC in Agona East to focus on the good work President Mahama was doing to make the country a better place to live.
He said it was important for the executives to work together as a team to achieve the ultimate.
Mr Nii Sackey, the spokesperson of the executives, said there was no cohesion among the constituency executives after the parliamentary primaries and that could let them vote skirt and blouse.
He called on the regional and national executives to endeavour to reconcile the party to ensure peace.
