NDC officials flee strong room

The NDC representatives at the electoral commission's strong room are reported to have deserted post. Joy FM news report monitored by Joy Online said that a source at the EC indicated that, the NDC representatives left the operations room at about 8 this morning and have since not reported back.

Their absence, according to the report has stalled the certification and release of results from about 60 constituencies. The electoral laws require the officials to sign the results before they are released. According to the report, an official at the NDC party headquarters however denied knowledge of the absence of the officials from the strong room.

Latest reports coming in however indicates that the NDC representatives have returned to the EC strong room and are currently collating the results. It is expected that the rest of the results will be released in due course.

Meanwhile,Dr. Afari-Gyan has confirmed Kuffour's firm lead and says it's unlikely that the trend will change.
