NDC’s 50Gp Cars Arrive In Volta

One of the carsSOME OF the over 400 vehicles that have been virtually taken away from the Tema Port for free and sold to cronies of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the cost of Gp50 have started arriving in Ho, the regional capital of the party’s ‘World Bank’, DAILY GUIDE has gathered.

One of the said vehicles, a Ford Expedition with registration number, GS 9347-09, is currently being used by Kwesi Aboagye, a former Deputy Regional Minister who was elected over the weekend as the regional chairman of the party.

Though DAILY GUIDE has learnt from a reliable source within the party’s regional secretariat that more of such vehicles are in the region, only the Ford Expedition has so far been spotted by our investigative lenses.

The deep-throat NDC source hinted DAILY GUIDE that the Ford Expedition is one of the two plush cars which are gifts from former President Rawlings to Mr. Aboagye as part of his contribution to his ‘darling boy’s campaign of becoming the regional chairman.

Ex- President Rawlings is on record to have said that Mr. Aboagye is his favourite for the position of the Volta regional chairman of the NDC.

The source further revealed that more of such vehicles will be arriving to be given to some people who have been pointed out as “good boys” of the party, including well-known journalists who are singing the party’s praises.

With President Mills’ directives to ministers and other government appointees to open their doors to party operatives, the forfeited cars’ terminal will remain an important source of pleasing sulking foot soldiers of the NDC.

These are rosy days indeed, and who can dispute it as evidenced by the ownership of four such vehicles by a special assistant to a deputy Chief of Staff.
