The flagbearer of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) has slammed President Mahama for allegedly running down the Ghanaian economy.
According to Dr. Edward Mahama, the economy is collapsing because of the government’s mismanagement and its corrupt practices.
He said government’s failure to employ the increasing numbers of tertiary graduates and pay for projects executed for the state are signs that the country is not being properly governed.
“There are difficulties in the nation and it is mismanagement and corruption that is killing us. Looking at the government structure system…it’s like the chip in the computer, when the chip malfunctions the whole computer does not work.
“So our government set up is not working, that is why a contractor finishes his contract and takes his bills to the ministry of finance and has to chase his certificate,” Dr. Mahama told Ultimate News’ Julius Caesar Anadem after his nationwide tour.
Meanwhile, President Mahama is taking his ‘Accounting to the People tour’ to the Brong Ahafo region.
He is expected to inspect work on ongoing projects, Commission those completed and meet chiefs and residents there over the next three days.
