The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described its victory in the December 7 elections as proof that it is a “very powerful force to contend with.”

The NDC organized a rally to celebrate the party’s victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to the leadership of the NDC, the celebrations will continue with a street carnival in Osu on Wednesday, December 26.

In an interview with Citi Fm, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the party, Ade Coker said: “Even though we were quiet during the intimidation, this indicates that when a clarion call is made, our people will be there to deliver.”

Mr. Coker expressed appreciation to the supporters of the party for showing up in their numbers to attend the victory rally.

“We are most grateful to them and on Wednesday, there is going to be a street carnival at the Oxford street in Accra and I am sure that one too will be very, very well attended. We have informed the Police so they are aware.”
