Winneba (C/R), Nov. 5, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been urged to recruit dedicated persons as party agents to mount polling stations on 7 December.

Mr. Kofi Mintah, chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Central Regional NDC, cautioned the NDC to avoid making recruitment on who you know basis because of the stipends agents would get. The NDC member, who was addressing a rally at Winneba Junction on Monday, said "Elections are either won or lost at polling stations; therefore, the party must be concerned with what goes on there," Mr. Mintah called on the ward and constituency executives of the party to assist the national officers to map-out appropriate strategies for the elections.

He said he would reward NDC executives of constituencies that would retain or win their seats. Mr. Mintah urged NDC supporters to embark on house-to-house campaign to educate the electorate on how to thumb-print the ballot paper to enhance voting.

He urged supporters to conduct their campaign in a peaceful manner devoid of insults and personal attacks. Mr. Mintah said the NDC would win the polls and asked supporters not do anything which could make their opponents to contest the victory.
