NDC vets primaries aspirants in Wa

The National Democratic Congress, (NDC) Tuesday begun vetting all the 35 aspirants contesting the primaries in the 11 constituencies of the Upper West Region in Wa.

Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, leader of the panel members from Accra, advised the aspirants to discard any prejudicial thoughts they may have about any of the panel members.

He said the panel members and the aspirants were all fighting for the good of the NDC.

Alhaji Amidu Sulemana, Upper West Regional Minister, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Sissala West Constituency, was among the first aspirants to be vetted.

Mary Hagbena Abu Azantilow, who is also contesting the position with Alhaji Sulemena was the next to be vetted.

Speaking to Journalists after her vetting, she said her chances of winning the seat at the constituency were brighter, saying: “I am confident now; it is the electorate who will decide the winner”.

“Winning an election depends on the message u send to the electorate. I am a grassroots person and the success of winning starts from the grassroots”, she pointed out.
