NDC will transform status of Zongos - Mills

Ho, March 13, GNA - Professor John Evans Atta Mills, Presidential Candidate of National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday pledged to promote the active development of Zongos to cease to be shanties on the periphery of towns when elected as the next President in December 2008. He gave the assurance during a courtesy call on the Ho Zongo Community as part of his tour of the Volta Region. Professor Mills said as President, "I would give priority attention to the pursuit of policies that would ease the economic marginalization of majority of the citizenry. An NDC President is enjoined by the Party's philosophy of social democracy to seek the welfare of all Ghanaians".
