NDC Director of IT and Elections, Dr, Edward Omane Boamah
Director of IT and Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Omane Boamah, says the opposition NDC will not declare their results as the NPP did in 2016.
Rather, they will let the world know of their collated figures from the elections in 2024.
Omane Boamah made this known in a post shared via social media.
He was reacting to calls by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to political parties to stay away from declaring results in the 2024 elections.
He said” Mr. President, we will not declare…
But, A BIG BUT, we will let Ghanaians and the world know our collated results well ahead of the Electoral Commission, just as we did during the Assin North by-election in 2023.
We agree that declaration is for the EC!
If you’ll indulge me, why didn’t you offer Mac Manu the same advice in 2016 when he was reported to have said, “We’ll declare our [NPP] own election results against all odds”?
Time will tell!!!
