Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya, Hon Michael Awuku, has stated that the NDC administration has nothing to show for their over 26 years rule out of Ghana’s 62 years since it gained independence.

Speaking in an interview with OTEC FM, he described the rule of opposition party so far as wasted years and that NDC is the worst thing to ever happen to Ghana.

“Ghanaians should understand that the worst thing to ever happen to this country was to allow NDC to rule. They took the country for a ride. If you compile the year's political parties have so far ruled the country, NDC has had the most with over 26 years. What exactly have they been able to do?”

He noted that it would be extremely disastrous if Mahama was to reclaim the presidency, given the “terrible” errors he exhibited when given the chance to govern the country.

Mr. Awuku added, the NDC after displaying crass incompetence during their reign has no right whatsoever to chastise the NPP government over the decision to acquire a new voters’ register.

He also condemned their concerns on the government and EC to abandon plans to compile a new voter register and use monies to construct roads.

“You’re talking about cost. Talking about how the money could be used to manufacture roads instead of acquiring a new voter’s register. Every year we spend and 4million dollars to clean the bio-metric machine. Is that also not cost,”? he said
