… As it sets to hound Mahama As it did to late Mills
The mischief of the National Democratic Party (NDP) meted out to the late Professor J.E. A Mills is being perpetrated against his successor, President John Mahama.
Information available to the Enquirer indicates that the party is making frantic efforts to throw dirty missiles against the President, all in its attempt to make the National Democratic Congress (NDC) a one-term government, a plot which has always been the topmost priority of the NDP.
Just days after obtaining a certificate from the Electoral Commission, The Enquirer is reliably informed that the NDP sent emissaries to certain regions to hold meetings with NDC Parliamentary aspirants who either lost in their bids or were disqualified for some reasons.
The main agenda of the meetings which were held in parts of Volta, Western and the three Northern regions was to convince those people to announce their defection from the NDC.
The Enquirer is reliably informed that those people were to cite lack of transparency in the otherwise beautiful exercise as their reason for their defection from the NDC to NDP.
Again, foot soldiers of the NDC were discussed at meetings, as part of the game plan to destabilize the NDC.
The foot soldiers were to commence their initial cry that the government was still not meeting their aspirations.
In fact, they were to hit town with claims that President Mahama, who is expected to be acclaimed by the NDC on September 1, in Kumasi, has not shown any commitment to helping them.
The foot soldiers, per the game plan of the NDP, were also expected to embark on defections, just like the defeated and disqualified parliamentary aspirants.
The NDP has been riding on the back of the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, though the party itself has made it clear that former President J.J. Rawlings is not part of its members.
Initially, it was widely speculated that it had the backing of the NDC Founder.
Former General Secretary the NDC, Dr. Josiah Aryeh, is the chairman of the party, while Dr. Rockson Mamboa is the general secretary.
