Beneficiaries of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) have lauded the New Patriotic Party (Party) Government for introducing an entrepreneurial support policy that has increased employment and provides sustenance for business Start-ups in the entrepreneurial in the country.
The NEIP programme was established by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo under the Ministry of Business Development and has trained about seven thousand (7000).
In addition to the training, the government has supported over one thousand three hundred and fifty (1350) entrepreneurs financially.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ‘Befitting Clothing’ Linda Afua Asantiwa Ofori, a NEIP beneficiary commended the government for entrepreneurial training.
“We were given the best training and it has helped me build capacity for my clothing business. I applaud the government for the NEIP initiative’’ she said.
The NEIP programme has supported many entrepreneurs across key industries like health, bakery, Information Technology (IT) and media fields.
Mr.Peter Kwabina Appiah also a NEIP beneficiary and the Director of American Farm Community Clinic also shared his testimony about how he learnt how to write business proposals through NEIP’s training workshops.
The CEO of AB Security System, Bernard Amoako, said he initially thought the programme was political rhetoric but his enrolment onto the programme has benefitted him immensely.
The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) is a flagship policy initiative of the government of Ghana with the primary objective of providing integrated national support for start-ups and small businesses.
