Two communities in the Amansie-West District have each benefitted from a kindergarten school block from two Non-Governmental Organisation (NGOs) at a total cost of GH¢ 50.000.00.

Manso-Dominase had its pre-school block donated by Care International whiles the Manso Apenimadi block was constructed by Cocoa Life Project.

Speaking at a short ceremony to inaugurate the blocks, Mr Alexander Kwame Bonsu, the District Chief Executive for Amansie-West, commended the two NGO's for helping to boost education in the predominantly illegal mining area.

He urged parents to send their children to school to justify the huge sums of money spent on the projects.

Mr Bonsu urged the beneficiary communities to take good care of the classroom block.

Mr Abraham Owusu Antwi, the Project Facilitator of the Care International, in a speech read for him, said 36 communities have been selected to benefit from an aid package, but each had to satisfy a criteria, including a good community action plan.

He said the two communities were given the nod to benefit from the project since they had the best community action plan and called on the other communities to follow their example to enjoy similar packages.

Mr Anthony Amoako, the District Director of Education, thanked the donors for their support and cautioned parents not to allow their children to engage in illegal mining.
