The National Health Insurance Authority on Tuesday donated a 10,000-litre capacity polytank to the Archbishob Porter Girls Senior High School, as the fourth prize for participating in the Authority’s tenth anniversary quiz competition.
Mr. Francis Asante Mensah, Western Regional Director of the NHIA at the presentation mentioned that the school emerged as a winner at the regional level, second and fourth at the zonal and national levels respectively, in the national competition.
He said the presentation of the polytank was to aid constant water supply, improve the health of the people, and ultimately reduce the burden of the Authority.
Ms Mary Armah-Brago, Headmistress of the School said the flow of water was not so constant with the recent power outages, and that the polytank could help the school to store enough water to meet the daily water needs of the students.
She, therefore, expressed appreciation to the National Health Authority for the donation, adding that it would complement the efforts of the school authorities to make school life more enjoyable for the students.
