Accra, Nov. 25, GNA - Mr Danny Anang, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Chairman, on Sunday appealed to Ghanaians to question New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirants' sources of funding.

He said the 18 aspirants were throwing about huge sums of money "and we must know who the real financiers of these extravagant campaigns are,'' he told the GNA in an interview.

Mr Anang said Ghana was not for sale and money should never be use as a yardstick for selecting leaders either as a presidential candidate, a member of parliament or to any position of trust. He appealed to Ghanaians to reject the NPP in next year's general elections. "Let us all send them a strong signal that we can no longer live under the inhumane policies of the NPP beyond December 2008."

Mr Anang outlined a timetable for the holding of parliamentary primaries in constituencies that have no NDC members of parliament. He said the first batch of elections between December 01 and 08 would be held at Tema East, Ayawaso Central, Ledzokuku, Krowor, and Ablekuma Central.

He urged NDC members to unite behind Prof John Atta Mills and all its parliamentary candidates to ensure the party's victory in Election 2008. 25 Nov. 07
