NPP Expands in New England

New England’s newest N.P.P Chapter in Boston is turning things around to the amazement of fellow opposition parties in the region. The Chapter that became seriously forming in February 2007, has made progress over the last couple of weeks. It managed to elect its interim leaders and charged them with a smooth running of the party. Seven die-hards have been retained as interim officers: Konongo Fordjour (Chairman), Dr. Afua Sarkodie-Mensah (General Secretary), Peter Oppong (Treasurer), Joe Appiah (Financial Secretary), Kwabena Kyei-Aboagye (Publicity Secretary) with Rebecca Osei assisting PRO, and Haggar Hilda Ampadu-Nicholson (Women’s Organizer). Currently the team is in preparations to host all fellow Ghanaians in and around New England and to some extent the whole of USA to join them for a get-together party in Boston on Saturday, the 4Th August 2007. Some dignitaries currently visiting the on-going Ghanafest in Chicago, Illinois have also signaled to grace the occasion in Boston.

The NPP-USA INC National Chairman, Mr. Kofi Antwi Boateng, has confirmed to attendance with his entire family , the NPP-USA INC National Publicity Secretary Mr. Prince Osei Bonsu.,and Nana Kwaku Adjei-Yeboah-The N.P.P-U.S.A INC National Vice Chairman. The N.P.P.Chairman of Boston Hon KonongoFordjuor has been holding private conversations with the local NDC party leaders to join him in getting together as one people with one destiny. By extending invitation to the opposition, Hon Konongo Fordjour believes practical politics can be discussed, reduce tension in Ghanaian politics, and play active role in our motherland affairs. Hon Konongo Fordjour has further invited the , opposition Parties in New England into meetings to discuss the possibility of voting by all Ghanaians resident in the New England corridor. Chairman Konongo Fordjour agrees that there is going to be several unity among the Political Parties in Ghana ,"United we stand divided we fall"All the Ghanaian Community are cordially invited.
