The Loyal Ladies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region have voiced their growing concerns about the absence of their National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, at a crucial time when the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is intensifying its campaign efforts in the region.

According to the group, while NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has been actively engaging voters and bolstering support for his party in the area, Stephen Ntim has been noticeably absent from key NPP activities.

The Loyal Ladies lament that despite repeated invitations for him to participate in party events, Ntim frequently offers excuses and fails to attend.

Furthermore, they claim that he does not delegate representatives to stand in for him at these gatherings.

The group expressed frustration that whenever issues arise and they seek his intervention, Ntim either ignores their calls or provides reasons for being unable to assist.

According to Dorothy Ntow, the Public Relations Officer of NPP Loyal Ladies in Jaman North expressed these concerns in an interview.

In contrast, she observed that Asiedu Nketia’s visible presence and engagement with communities have strengthened the NDC’s foothold in the region.

The NPP Loyal Ladies fear that the lack of similar support from their own leadership is eroding the party’s support base in the Bono Region.

"We believe the NPP is losing ground in the Bono Region, and we fear the party is dying here," she indicated.

They are calling for immediate action from the national leadership of the NPP to address the situation and ensure that the party remains competitive in the region as the 2024 general elections draw closer.
