The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Andy Appiah Kubi, has visited the party's running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, after previously opposing his selection.

In a Facebook post by Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, the National Organizer of the NPP, the two politicians were seen enjoying each other's company.

Nana B captioned the photo with, "The brotherhood is rekindled, NPP vice presidential candidate, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo), and Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, earlier today. The NPP is poised to break the 8!!"

Appiah Kubi had publicly opposed NAPO's selection as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's running mate, expressing his preference for a candidate more connected to the grassroots, humble, and respectful. Despite his opposition, the National Council confirmed NAPO and unveiled him in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9.

Both pledged to work together to ensure the NPP's victory in the 2024 general elections, putting their perceived differences aside.
