NPP MPs are clueless and dumb – Namoale

Nii Amasah Namoale, Former Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon constituency has described members of the governing party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) as ‘dumb’ and ‘empty barrels’ following their response to Former President John Mahama’s criticism of the National Digital Property Address System (NDPAS).

Former President John Mahama during NDC’s unity walk in Cape Coast early this month made some comments about the NDPAS suggesting it was a fraud and an attempt to steal from the nations coffers.

He used George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ in an analogy to describe the Akufo-Addo administration saying, "When they [NPP] were looking for your votes, President Akufo-Addo said they shall open the opportunities of this country to all Ghanaians, irrespective of their party or ethnic affiliations. He came to power and now that the 'pigs' are enjoying, they say some Ghanaians are more Ghanaian than others", he stated categorically.”

This comment this not sit down well with most Ghanaians as some including Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako saw it as ‘distasteful’ and unnecessary.

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in response to this critic from the Former President said, “ he has no clue about what he was talking about”.

During an interview on TV3’s ‘After Hours’ with Mikki Osei Berko, Mr. Namoale said the NPP’s response to Mahama’s pig analogy was evident that they were not well-informed.

“Let me tell you something about these NPPs, they are the empty barrels. Go to parliament, take their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) and take the CVs of the NDC and you will see those who are empty barrels. Let me tell you, they don’t’ know anything, that is why President Mahama said pigs, they have not read wide,” he passionately said.

He went on say the National Digital Property Address System is no different from the Asaase GPS as they both perform largely similar functions alleging that developers of the Ghana Post GPS adapted all features of the Asaase GPS and merely changed the colors to make it look different.

“You see the Asaase GPS , it is the same app that we have the National Digital Property Address System .It is the same thing. Asaase GPS is free and it was done by a Ghanaian. Infact what they did was they took the Asaase GPS, changed the colour and scam Ghanaians because the Asaase GPS does the same thing,” he purported.

“There is nothing Asaase GPS is doing the National Digital Property Address System is not doing. They say it is exclusive to Ghanaians but some people in Nigeria are using it, some people in US are using it and so that is 419,” he said.

Vokacom, a Ghanaian Information Technology firm, is the brain behind the development of the Ghana Post GPS app at the cost of 2.5 million dollars.
