NPP Northern Regional second vice chairperson saves 3-week-old baby

Unnamed Baby Sick Madam Felicia Tetteh donated five thousand Ghana cedis to help the baby undergo surgery

The Northern Regional second vice chairperson of the governing New Patriotic Party Madam Felicia Tetteh has donated Five thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 5,000.OO) to help save the life of a 3 weeks old baby at the Tamale Teaching hospital (TTH).

The three (3) weeks old baby, Mohammed Timtoni Fuseini is suffering from a type of Spina Bifida condition called Meningomyelocele and Hydrocephalus. He needed to undergo a surgery at the Tamale Teaching Hospital at the cost of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (10,000.00), however, the donation of the NPP Regional Second Vice Chairperson will enable doctors to start the surgery process of the baby.

Madam Felicia Tetteh made this donation through her foundation, Tacorabama Women Development Foundation (TWDF) following an appeal campaign made by the Smile Life Foundation Ghana, an emergency charity organization based in the Northern Region.

Madam Felicia Tetteh, a renowned business woman and the CEO of Tacorabama Restaurant said, she was touched upon hearing the sad story of the 3 weeks old baby. “I was totally devastated when I watched pictures and videos of the little baby, I couldn’t imagine what this baby was going through and as a mother I felt sad”. She said

She said, “I want to see Mohammed Timtoni and her parents happy that’s why I came to the hospital to donate so that he can undergo the surgery. He has suffered enough”.

Madam Felicia thanked Smile Life Foundation Ghana for given her the opportunity to share the little that she has to save a life and therefore made a passionate appeal on other benevolent individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the little baby.

The Chief Executive Officer of Smile Life Foundation- Ghana (SLFG) Mr. Hamza Lansah Lolly on his part thanked Madam Felicia Tetteh for the love and compassion shown on the baby and his parents, reiterated that, the baby will soon undergo surgery.

“With your donation Madam, we are very optimistic doctors will start preparing the baby for the surgery. We trust God almighty will do it for us once again”. He said

The Smile Life Foundation Ghana CEO hinted that, there are other two babies at the TTH who are suffering from the same birth defect condition (Spina Bifida) that needs the support of all and sundry and therefore called on individuals and organizations to emulate the examples of Madam Felicia Tetteh by supporting Smile Life Foundation Ghana to save lives and put smile on the faces of individuals and families who are in need.

Mr. Lansah thanked the doctors and management of the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) for its partnership with SLFG to raised funds to support the baby.
