NPP Parliamentary candidate calls for peaceful campaign

Wechiaw (U/W), May 2, (Seidu) GNA - Mr. Adams Nuhu Timbile, the

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Wa West, has

appealed to all sympathizers and activists of the party to stay focused,

campaign on issues and desist from insulting opponents and engaging in

violence in the run-up to the 2012 elections. He said they must also eschew tribalism and self-centeredness and

embrace development no matter who was bringing it adding that they

needed each other now than before as they were bound to fail if they were

divided. Mr. Timbile said this in a speech after winning the constituency's p= rimary

through acclamation at Wechiaw. The new parliamentary candidate, aged 30, holds a first degree in

Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana and is a

Level three student of Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional

Examinations programme He said 93Election 2012" must be an occasion and a vehicle for the

realization of the hopes and dreams of the people. Mr Timbile said during the tour of the constituency he saw hunger,

disappointment and hopelessness in the people as promises made to them

had not yet been redeemed. "Our footpaths must be made roads, our valleys must be bridged, our

children must be educated, our farmers must be supported, our traders must

be in business our mothers must smile while in labour we must drink water

from safe sources and our aged, sick and disabled must be cared for," he

said. Mr. Timbile told the delegates that he was passionate about eradicati= ng

poverty and ignorance and had already started giving support to farmers,

petty traders and small grants to students for the acquisition of education= al
