Suspended Second Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Crabbe
Suspended Second Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Crabbe, has rescinded his decision to contest for the party’s National Chair slot.
This comes after party activist Hajia Fati violently attacked and prevented him from picking nomination forms when he visited the party’s headquarters last week.
Mr. Crabbe, together with Mr Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, was suspended in the lead-up to the 2016 elections amidst allegations that they were working against the party’s then-flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Sources close to Mr. Crabbe have disclosed to ClassFMonline.com that he will not be contesting following the Hajia Fati debacle.
The source further disclosed that a decision on Mr Crabbe’s political future will be announced in due course.
Today, Thursday, 10 May is the deadline for picking nomination forms. ClassFMonline.com has gathered that Acting National Chairman, Freddie Blay and other interested aspirants will be picking their forms later in the day.
