I wish to issue this Press Release to caution some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Abelenkpe ward of my Constituency (Ayawaso West) to be cautious of their actions intended to harass, threaten and intimidate members of the New patriotic party NPP in the area. This follows an act of provocation by some NDC members at Abelempke this morning. The NDC youth in the area who were launching their new membership cards , decided to cover the sign posts and banners of the ruling NPP in the area with their NDC banners and mounted their flags on them.
This provocative act would have resulted in a scuffle but for my timely intervention. Acts of this nature are very provocative and tend to retard the peace and progress of the constituency in particular and the nation as a whole.
In as much as we the members of the NPP love peace and want a very peaceful elections in the coming year, we are pleading with them to be very cautious of what they do in order not to provoke members of our party.
