NPP?S HEADACHE: Candidates For 2004

Fri, 10 Jan 2003 Source: DAILY DISPATCH

The NPP is likely to face serious problems in the selection of candidates for the 2004 elections. The problems would be similar to those faced by the NDC when it was in power.

They include the primaries the NPP must hold in each of the 200 constituencies to determine the party?s Parliamentary candidates in 2004.

The primaries would either re-elect the incumbent MPs or throw up ?upsets? in which they could be defeated.

These expressions were made by the Editor of ?The Daily Dispatch?, Mr. Ben Ephson in a recording of a TV3 talk show, Hot issues.
