Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana popularly known as Professor Kalamonia
The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) incumbent Savannah Regional Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana popularly known as Professor Kalamonia is seeking renewal of his mandate for a third consecutive term in office.
Following the incident free constituency elections conducted in the region, he is hopeful that the delegates will retain him to facilitate the NPP's resounding victory at the 2028 general polls.
Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu in a statement on July 14, 2026, promised to provide continuity in grassroots mobilization, prevent internal division and focus on electoral strategies that will increase the NPP’s Parliamentary seats and the Presidential votes in 2028.
He rallied support for the NPP's 2028, Presidential hopeful, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and reiterated the importance of party unity and genuine reconciliation.
