On September 4, 2006 a vibrant and dynamic chapter of the New Patriotic Party was officially admitted to the North America branch in Worcester in Massachusetts. The National Chairman of the Party, Mohammed Idris delegated Nana Agyei Yeboah, Chairman of NPP New England to swear in the executives of the Worcester Chapter.
The Organizing Secretary of New England NPP Chapter, Ken Ampofo Asiamah was in attendance at the swearing in ceremony. Nana Agree Yebaoh took advantage of the festive occasion to outline the progress made by the Party in Ghana. He explained the Busia - Dankwa tradition. He also talked about the MCA and it's alleviation of poverty in the Abrams plains, it's potential to create jobs and transform the Afram plains into the breadbasket of Ghana.
On September 6, Nana Agyei Yeboah was the guest speaker of Sankofa Radio's Community forum Program in Hartford, Connecticut. Nana Agyei Yeboah again educated the Ghanaian public in the Hartford/Springfield area and asked the listening public to refrain from apathy and to participate in the Ghanaian political process. Nana Agyei Yeboah once again outlined the progress NPP has made and continues to make and appealed to the listeners to join the local chapter so we can collectively help Ghana's development and help change policies at home. The program was a huge success judging the feedback received so far.
On September 16, 2006, The New England Chapter is having a Picnic at Martin Park located in East Hartford, CT. All Ghanaians are cordially invited.
