NPP Targets Bisiw, Boafo & Two Others

From the false alarm that the NDC has targeted a number of people it intends to assassinate if it comes to power through the drawing up of a false list of journalist it claims the NDC has put on its pay roll to false documents it authored and claimed it was the NDC’s master-plan to rig the December polls, the NPP is at it again! ; this time, Ghana’s biggest opposition party has targeted four key persons within the NDC against who a smear campaign is to be launched.

Intelligence the Daily Post has gathered names Deputy Minister for Water Resources,Works & Housing, Dr. Hannah Bisiw, Deputy Interior Minister, Kobby Acheampong, Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Board (GFZB), Kwadwo Twum Boafo and Mr. Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, a member of the NDC’s Communication as the targets of the smear campaign.

The four have been identified among a host of other NDC appointees and activists as problematic to the cause of the NPP as far as election 2012 is concerned and therefore must be dealt with accordingly. The main allegation that is going to be aimed at them is that they have spear-headed a so-called insult campaign from within the NDC. The media, as well as civil society groups as well as so-called think-tanks and NGOs, as part of the smear campaign, will be instigated to put pressure on President Mills to drop the four from their current positions as proof of his commitment against the politics of insults.

However, a source within the NPP told the Daily Post that the real ‘crime’ of these four is the collateral damage they have been doing to the already tattered image of Nana Akufo-Addo in the media, an action they believe influences many a voter in the country.

Hannah Bissiw’s recent ‘crime’ is the swipe she took at the NPP flag-bearer for groping and fondling the mid-section of a GTV make-up artist, Janet Owusu-Dankwa.

In separate radio interviews, Hannah Bisiw did not only condemn the NPP’s flag-bearer’s latest public sexual misconduct but opined also that the make-up artist should have given him a hefty slap that will not only be a lesson to him but also become a point of reference when the issue comes up for discussion.

For these comments, the Deputy Minister must be made to pay for it by losing first, her job and then, the constituency seat in the Brong Ahafo region she is contesting for.

A series of negative media reportage about her will be churned out to enable the NPP Communication Team members as well as serial callers descend on her. For Kwadwo Twum-Boafo, it is held that his zeal and spirited attacks on Akufo-Addo for dabbling in wee and cocaine, as well as surrounding himself with ex-convicts have exposed the NPP flag-bearer to public ridicule.

Kobby Acheampong is said to be merciless whenever he engages NPP activists in intellectual discourses, especially on TV for which he must be thought a lesson.

For Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, the inability of NPP activists to match up to his brilliance anytime they engage him on a debate either on TV or radio is a serious source of discomfiture for which he must be dealt with.

The coming weeks may therefore see these personalities coming up for sustained pro-NPP media attacks according to the latest invidious plan that has been hatched by a clique within the NPP. What will be of interest is whether the NDC will fight back since the party has a habit of not protecting its own.
