Afrifa-Mensah received a citation recognising his contribution to the party
Ghanaian media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, has been honoured by members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the United States at a Christmas gathering organised by the party’s Washington DC Metro Chapter.
The event, which brought together NPP members and supporters in the diaspora, was held as part of activities marking the festive season and discussions around party unity and engagement abroad.
As part of the programme, Afrifa-Mensah received a citation recognising his contribution to the party and his involvement in political discourse and mobilisation among Ghanaians outside the country.
The citation was issued by the New York NPP Chairman and presented on behalf of the NPP-USA leadership.
According to organisers, the recognition highlighted Afrifa-Mensah’s commitment to promoting party values such as discipline, patriotism and civic participation within the Ghanaian diaspora.
In his response, Afrifa-Mensah expressed appreciation for the honour, describing it as a reflection of the collective efforts of party members rather than an individual achievement.
He noted the role of shared values and cooperation in sustaining political engagement among Ghanaians living abroad.
The gathering also served as a platform for NPP-USA members to reaffirm their commitment to party cohesion and future electoral efforts, with speakers emphasising the importance of unity and sustained involvement in national development issues.
The event ended with calls for continued collaboration among party members in the diaspora as the NPP prepares for future political activities in Ghana.
