Mr Felix Ofosu-Kwakye, a former Deputy Communications Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration says appointees in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are overly arrogant and corrupt.

In his opinion arrogance and corrupt practices are gradually becoming the hallmark of the current appointees who are only interested in throwing mud at appointees in the previous government to cover up what is pertaining in their government by trumpeting each day that they were corrupt.

“Since the NPP took over power, all they’ve been saying is we will prosecute, yet none have been made since. Simply because they have come to realize what they said whiles in opposition were untrue”. He said

According to him, the officials of the ruling NPP lied by telling Ghanaians, the Mahama led administration was corrupt, adding that, the NPP in their eleventh months has not been able to make a single arrest of the said corrupt leaders.

“They (NPP) are being corrupt and arrogant so the NPP steal government money and try to cover up later in the most arrogant manner; they are covering up corruption”, he alleged

The former minister on Hello FM in Kumasi asserted that, the NPP has not been able to adduce single evidence against members of the NDC which shows that they themselves are corrupt.

“Who has threatened the NPP government not to investigate into the so-called corrupt leaders in our government”? He asked

One of the major campaign messages of the NPP was that, the NDC government was corrupt and when voted into power, they were going to reclaim all stolen state money.

However, the Nana Addo led government; early this year said it was going to appoint an Independent Special Persecutor who was supposed to begin work last month on such prosecutions.

Mr Ofosu in explaining the concept further said the special persecutor is not working because the NPP government is confused.
