Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been advised to build bridges with their political opponents to enable them explain realities on the ground to them. Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Chairman of the National Campaign Committee of the party, said this when he addressed a cross section of Polling Unit Executives of the Dadekotopon constituency of the party at La, near Accra.

He said those on the other side of the political divide should not be seen as enemies but rather as brothers and sisters because as citizens of Ghana, "we face the same national economic political and social problems created by the government of the NDC."

Mr. Obesebi-Lamptey, who is also the Greater Accra Chairman of the party, said this calls for political maturity, tact and persuasion to win them to the NPP adding the political era of insults and confrontation are past. He urged polling agents of the party to be extra vigilant on the day of election and said "elections are won or lost at the polling stations".

Nii Badu Botchway, Constituency chairman, said the elections ahead would not be easy taking into consideration the resources at the disposal of the party and asked supporters to be prepared to work extra hard to enable it to win political power. He said the party has intensified its campaign in the constituency adding that 42 out of the 109 units have already been organized and expressed the hope the rest would be covered by the end of the year.
