Addressing a news conference at Gomoa Benso, to express his gratitude, Mr Bruno thanked the delegates for the support and kindness shown to him before, during and after the election, where he polled 18 votes out of total 454 votes.

He stated that the defeat would never deter him as a leading activist of NPP in the Central Region to contest any future elections and hinted that the defeat had given him more hope and impetus to strive hard to assist the party to win 2020 elections.

According to Mr Bruno, the kind of respect, dignity, good relationship and humility accorded him and his campaign team was fantastic and stated that the delegates had spoken and no one could challenge their decisions since NPP believed in true democratic governance process.

He disclosed that the vital role played in the 2016 electioneering Campaign, which brought Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, then Presidential Candidate of NPP to power in 2016 had not been forgotten by the delegates and commended the newly elected Central Regional executives of NPP for their victory and expressed the hope that they would not rest on their oars.

Mr Bruno suggested to the newly elected Regional Executives to work with all defeated candidates and their supporters to help maintain 19 seats won in 2016.

He said the promises made to each of the 23 constituencies were fulfilled during and after the elections, though he did not succeed but hoped and trust that next time luck would never elude him.
