Suhum, Oct 31, GNA - The Suhum Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected a nine-member executive to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years at a delegate's conference at Nankese in the Eastern Region.
The officers were Mr Andrews Yao Adu, Chairman, Frank Alfred Dadebo, First Vice Chairman, Raymond Quartey, Second Vice-Chairman, James Larweh, Secretary, Emmanuel Wiafe, Assistant Secretary, Douglas Ohene Ansah, Organizer, Ms Agnes Asante, Women Organizer, Nana Odei Amoako, Treasurer and Tanko Mohammed, Youth Organizer. Mr Adu said the party needed peace and unity to win the 2008 election and appealed to the members, who, because of petty scrambles abandoned the party, to return to build a strong constituency. He assured the delegates and members of the party that he would do everything possible to bring peace among the old and the new executive members of the party.
Mr Michael Kofi Mensah, the District Chief Executive, commended the new executives and reminded them that the NPP wining the 2008 elections depended largely on the executive members and urged them to bury their differences to achieve victory in the constituency in the 2008 elections.
