Read the statement by the Ga state

The Paramount Stool Djaase and the elders of the Ga State have observed the impunity and disregard for law and order in the Ga State. There has been myriad of litigations, but for believe in the rule of law and in the spirit of peaceful co-existence in the Ga State we have remained silent.

Our patience have yielded the needed results and we have been vindicated by all court rulings.

The Ga State has only one Ga Mantse, in the person of Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, who has been properly selected, elected, installed and gazette according to the chieftaincy Act and as mandated by the Constitution of Ghana.

Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II has been performing his customary duties without any form of challenge and will soon take his place as President of the Ga Traditional Council to see to the development and progress of the Ga State.

We have however observed recently the attempts by certain individuals and elements of government who may be hiding behind the authority of government to create tensions in the Ga State.

These individuals have been involved in gatherings geared towards imposing onto the Ga State an imposter in the person of Kelvin Tackie. We have already notified the security agencies on rumored attempts to invade Ga Paramount Stool House, and we are by this release notifying the President of the State to keep his word, and bring to order individuals within his administration trying to meddle in Ga Chieftaincy affairs.

We do not want politicians to interfere in our Ga Chieftaincy matters. Let not our silence and desire for peace be taken for granted as we continue to eschew the tenets of law and order and the rule of law.
