President-elect John Dramani Mahama has vowed to reset Ghana’s governance system, which he believes has been plunged into an abyss by the outgoing Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.
Mahama’s promise comes after his decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, where he secured 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total vote.
In his acceptance speech, Mahama emphasised the importance of collective effort, stating that he intends to work together with all Ghanaians to build a better future.
Mahama’s vision for a reset involves restoring shattered confidence in Ghana’s politics and governance system.
This commitment to inclusivity and national well-being is at the core of Mahama’s promise to reset Ghana.
The President-elect’s acceptance speech highlighted the significance of this electoral victory, describing it as an opportunity for a new beginning.
According to him, he is determined to lead Ghana into a new chapter of its collective story, one marked by responsible governance, transparency, and accountability.
