Of Sheep, cow & fake bank accounts

National Democratic Congress kingpin and deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Baba Jamal, has opined that the opposition New Patriotic Party brought a “curse” unto itself when they gleefully concocted and peddled an abominable lie about him for which reason they lost the December 2012 elections.
According to him, some members of the party invited the curse on the party last two years when they produced and doctored a voice purported to be his and invented faked bank accounts with the sole purpose to impugn his integrity and to falsely paint government as filthy, corrupt and irresponsible in order to hoodwink unsuspecting Ghanaians in voting them back to power.
Denying he ever cursed the NPP, Baba Jamal in an interview with The Al-Hajj, noted that many have misconstrued a statement he made last year to the effect that the NPP was going to lose the 2012 election because they doctored his voice to shore up their campaign to mean he cursed them, saying “they cursed themselves by trying to use false and propaganda to bait Ghanaians in voting for them, I didn’t curse them.”
The deputy Minister who is also the ruling party’s Member of Parliament for Akwatia, said the NPP incurred the wrath of God after it fabricated and circulated a ‘manufactured’ tape recording to destroy his reputation, which he said was enough to invoke the curse of God on that party.
He said God is a truthful God who will never allow darkness to triumph over light, who will also not allow evil doers to go unpunished, revealing that those who engaged in the dastardly act have been paying the price for their reprehensible actions out of which some of them have been involved in gory accident.
He said the first day members of the biggest opposition party released the ‘doctored tape’ and started making political capital out of it “I knew they will lose the election, so if you have monitored me even when they challenged the results in court, I kept faith with my statement that they genuinely lost the 2012 election.”
Baba Jamal made the headlines in August 2011 in a controversial secret tape recording in which he was alleged to be bribing journalists to massage information to favor government.
But he vehemently denied ever uttering the words attributed to him on the tape, insisting that the NDC was privy to information that some people were secretly using computer technology to manipulate the voices of key government officials in order to implicate them.
A year after the incident, when he was moved from the Information Ministry to the Tourism Ministry as deputy, he was reported in the media to have blamed the NPP of being behind the mysterious tape recording he claimed was intended to tarnish his political career.
Baba Jamal indicated that some members of the opposition party doctored the secret tape using computer technology for political expediency.
Then in an interview with Asempa FM from Ho at the sidelines of the NDC’s manifesto launch in 2012, Baba Jamal forecast the NPP would lose the election because of their own bad deeds.
He said the NPP had been cursed by God for instigating what he called a ‘diabolical plan’, therefore its punishment was the gargantuan defeat it suffered in the December 2012 polls.
Following the party’s lost which they took to the apex court of the land but still lost, many have
