The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua, says the NPP is not perturbed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) filing an appeal against the High Court ruling, which has instructed that the remaining polling stations be collated before the results are declared.

On January 4, 2025, an Accra High Court ruled that the Electoral Commission should finalize the collation of results in Ablekuma North, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, and Techiman South by January 6.

The court also ordered the Inspector General of Police to provide security for the process.

The ruling was met with dissatisfaction from the NDC, who maintain that their candidates won in the affected constituencies and were not declared under duress.

In response, the NDC has filed an appeal against the High Court ruling.

However, speaking to the media, the General Secretary of the NPP stated, “The NDC is preparing to file an appeal and stay of execution; we are not bothered by it. It is their right, but at the end of the day, the truth will always stand.”
