The Deputy Minister of Energy, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has picked nomination forms to contest the upcoming September parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Karaga constituency of the Northern Region.
Alhaji Kalim M. Ibrahim, a campaign team member of Dr Adam confirmed to Class News that the team, over the weekend, purchased the forms on the deputy minister’s behalf.
The NPP opened nominations on Saturday, 20 July 2019, for prospective candidates to contest the various constituencies across the country.
Before his appointment as a Deputy Minister, Dr Adam was the founder and Executive Director of the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) since 2013.
He served under the erstwhile John Kufuor government as a Deputy Minister of the Northern Region in 2005 and was subsequently appointed as the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Tamale in 2007.
