Main opposition NPP flagbearer-aspirant, Alan Kyeremanten, has appealed to delegates to choose him to lead the party in the 2016 elections because, in his view, he is blessed with the ability to attract people to his side.

“I have special blessing in grassroots organisation and fortunately God has given me a special blessing to attract people on my side," the former Minister of trade said on Peace FM on Monday.

According to him, the NPP risks losing the 2016 elections if the delegates ignore the “favourite of Ghanaians” as they go into the October 18 conference to elect a flagbearer.

“Everywhere you go, Ghanaians are calling for Alan, so I am pleading with our delegates, don’t ignore the concerns of Ghanaians.

“Everyone knows I can do the job, even foreign countries are aware of my competence and I have the record to show. I traveled to other countries, and I delivered there, so why can’t I do it here in Ghana? I will deliver when given the opportunity," the former Ambassador to the US said.

Kyeremanten is in the race with two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo and MP Francis Addai Nimoh.
