Deputy Minister of Education in charge of TVET, Prof Kingsley Nyarko, has announced that the government's robust digital drive in Ghana's education system is paying off hugely .
"Professor Kingsley Nyarko, emphasized that Ghana's digital education progressed steadily , highlighting improved learning outcomes through strategic investments in digital infrastructure, teacher support, and student resources, underscoring the government's commitment to quality education.
Speaking at the National Teaching Council's two-day Teachers Prize Symposium in the Ashanti Region on Thursday October 3, 2024, Professor Nyarko highlighted the NPP government's significant investment in digital infrastructure and resources for teachers and students.
Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng at the sidelines of the event , the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency reiterated the government's dedication to transforming Ghana's education sector through digitalization.
He noted that the NPP government has distributed over 900,000 tablets to senior high school students and provided laptops to teachers to support effective teaching and learning.
Professor Nyarko emphasized that these initiatives have improved learning outcomes and demonstrated the government's commitment to quality education.
He praised teachers for their dedication and assured continued collaboration to ensure effective policy implementation.
"The NPP government has proven to be the best in terms of providing access to quality education," Professor Nyarko stated. "We will continue to collaborate with teachers to ensure effective implementation of policies in the sector."
