Abuakwa (Ash), March 22, GNA- The executive of the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked the government to clamp down hard on unscrupulous traders who were increasing prices of their goods to save ordinary Ghanaians from these shylock traders.

The executive contended that clamping down on these traders would negate the party's opponent's attempt at using the increases in cement, iron rods and flour as their campaign weapon against the government. The executive made the appeal at its general meeting at Abuakwa on Sunday to take stock of their performance, map out strategies to ensure that as many party supporters as possible register.

Addressing the constituency executive, Mr James Adusei Sarkodie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya asked them to channel any grievances through the constituency inter-party advisory committee for solutions.

He asked the supporters to adopt house-to-house campaigns to win more supporters for the party and asked them to register in their numbers to enable the party retain power in the December elections. Nana Kofi Owusu, the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency chairman asked the party agents at the polling stations and registration centres to be vigilant and check malpractices during the exercise.
