Nkoranza (B/A), July 28, GNA – Mr Allan Kyeremanten, aspiring flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, at the weekend, said an NPP government under his leadership would create more jobs for the youth and promote business activities for an improvement in the living standards of Ghanaians.

He was addressing polling station executives and supporters of the party at separate meetings at Nkoranza and Busunya in Nkoranza South and Nkoranza North Districts respectively.

The aspirant stated that the fight for the Presidency in the 2012 elections would be a hectic duel between the ruling NDC and the strongest opposition party, the NPP, which needed a candidate who would pool more votes from the electorate.

He called on the polling station executives to approve of his candidature at the NPP conference on Saturday, august seven and gave the assurance that he was capable of leading the party to victory in 2012.

Mr Kyeremanten said the outcome of the NPP congress at Legon in 2007 at which 17 candidates vied for the party’s presidential candidate was a clear indication that he had popularized himself with party members.

He expressed concern that the polling station executives were only recognized in the run-up to elections and promised that if offered the mantle, would help turn their fortunes to make them feel proud in serving the party.

The aspirant added he would ensure that polling station executives formed campaign teams in the constituencies and disclosed his plans to establish a welfare club that would cater for their needs to sustain interest in the development of the party.

Mr Kyeremanten appealed to the executives to vote for him to lead the party to wrest power from the NDC in 2012.

Mr Kwabena Agyapong, chairman of Allan Kyeremanten’s campaign team described the aspirant as a bright star and urged the polling station executives to allow him to shine by voting for him on August seven.
