The Middle-Belt Campaign Coordinator for the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, has predicted that the party will win 99 parliamentary seats, including 15 new constituencies.

Speaking to the media in Kumasi during the climax of the NPP’s campaign in the middle belt zone, the assured and upbeat Effiduase-Asokore MP reaffirmed the party’s preparedness for victory.

“We have put all the necessary structures in place to secure a resounding win in both the presidential and parliamentary elections,” he stated.

Dr. Ayew Afriye further outlined the party’s strategy, pointing out five major indicators driving their optimism in the middle belt of the country.

He explained that among these is the goal of flipping some key constituencies, including the Tain Constituency.

“We can state emphatically that after an exhaustive and comprehensive campaign across all the 6 regions, the NPP is set to win a total of 99 seats in Ashanti, Eastern, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North and Eastern Regions,” he noted.

Touching on the challenges faced during the campaign, Dr. Ayew Afriye lauded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his dedicated campaign team for their resilience and hard work.

The MP further projected that the NPP would garner over 51% of the total votes, emphasising the party’s appeal in the middle belt.

This, he attributed to NPP’s “solid and time-tested policies and programs” which, he argued, resonate more with Ghanaians compared to the opposition’s campaign.

Reassuring voters about safety concerns, he expressed confidence in the security arrangements for the pending election.

“We want to assure all Ghanaians, especially voters in the 6 regions under the middle belt zone that they have nothing to worry about because their security is fully assured, they must go to their polling stations and cast their ballots for the NPP and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia without fear or intimidation,” he noted.
