All eight occupants were killed in the tragic crash
The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has joined the nation in mourning the loss of eight prominent Ghanaians in last week’s tragic helicopter crash.
In a statement issued on August 11, 2025, the Authority said it was “deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss,” describing the deceased, which included cabinet ministers, senior NDC officials, and military personnel, as individuals who “greatly contributed to the governance, security, and development of our cherished nation.”
The NPRA extended its condolences to the government and bereaved families, “especially their wives, children, and loved ones, who now carry the heavy weight of this irreplaceable loss.”
NPRA mourns eight victims of helicopter crash
It noted that two of the victims of Islamic faith had already been buried according to Muslim tradition, with the remaining six scheduled for burial this weekend.
The Authority also praised emergency responders for their “bravery and professionalism,” calling them “a beacon of hope amid our sorrow.”
“May their souls rest in peace, and may the Almighty grant their families comfort and strength during this difficult time,” the statement concluded.
